SIMPLE FRIED RAVIOLI:
STEP 2:
-Take ravioli out of milk letting any loose milk to drip off. Dredge in Italian breadcrumbs
-after ravioli is covered, place several in deep fryer for about 1-2 minutes or until they float and are crispy brown. Place on paper towel to collect excess oil. Serve.
Giada suggests sprinkling on Parmesan cheese, but I didn't have any. I also didn't have any marinara sauce, but Nee and I did dip it in the dip that came with my celery and carrots from Dominion. They turned out great - crunchy, full of flavour - a definite hit.
Nee is not a fan of chicken wings, so she brought some chicken nuggets. I just popped them in for about 3-5 minutes and they came out crunchy - the way they should! Nee wasn't a fan of the dark meat nuggets, but a little bit of plum sauce and you didn't notice the difference. Ok maybe you do, but it was still good.
Nee also brought over some french fries. The instructions only had microwave or oven, so I deep fried them for about 2 minutes. They were shoe string, and came out with a nice crunch. They didn't take long, so I popped them in the toaster oven to keep them warm. With a little salt, some vinegar and ketchup, they tasted just like the average restaurant would.
It was a great spread - wings, nuggets, fries, veggies and dip, fried ravioli, Cherry-Vanilla Dr Pepper to drink AND Nee brought chocolate chip cookies AND Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream.
Hey, if your going to go bad, you might as well go all out.
